• Voice Greetings - Upload your own voice greetings and send to other members.

• Chat - Can participate in live, real-time chat rooms. (English, Spanish or Portuguese)
• Searches - Limits # of full profiles that you can view (normally view 3 listings in 24 hour period).

• Emails - Can’t initiate contact with other members.  Allowed to reply to one email sent by another member every 24 hours.

Pros:  Good selection of features for Free membership; Chat room in English or Spanish; good size membership; Global search not just U.S.; Strict privacy policy; Articles; Online magazine; Profile can be in English or Spanish; inexpensive pricing.

Cons:  Searching for members in other countries is more difficult than searching in the U.S.

Editor’s Review: Amigos.com is part of the FriendsFinder network, which consists of 15 web communities that has over 20 million registered members.  Founded in 1996, Amigos.com is one of the largest Hispanic dating sites.  We recommend them for their services, price and membership size. We give high points to sites that give lots of features to free or trial memberships and Amigos does just that although certain features are very limited.

Another plus of this site is that you are not just limited to the U.S. You can search for members all over the world.  So if you are looking for a hot Dominican Latina, you can. Plus you can create profiles, enter chat rooms and do searches in English, Spanish & Portuguese. 

Some unique features that Amigos offers are: Flash Instant Messaging; Hotlist; Voice greetings; Photo Ratings; Free e-greeting cards; and interactive Amigos.com magazine written by and for members.   The Flash Instant Messaging gives you the ability to instantly and anonymously talk (or video conference) to other members in the FriendsFinder network. Another big but rare feature on Amigos.com is the ability to turn off the auto-renew feature.  Other sites will automatically renew your membership when your initial term expires. Unless you cancel before it renews, you are stuck for another term since they do not prorate membership fees.  With Amigo, you can turn off this feature. You just can beat their membership size and their price.  Definitely worth a try.
